The Story So Far

I started my now defunct Shopify store back in November 2022, and to be honest, I was trying to start an online business without even knowing how to run one. So this journey, which is still going, has also been a learning experience. My goal now and then has remained the same, to share my passion for fantasy and science fiction art and to be able to transport people into amazing worlds.

As of a few weeks ago, I thought that, with my Shopify store dead due to my inability to pay the Shopify fees ( and the lack of sales ) I was done with print-on-demand store. Thankfully, a new opportunity appeared when a UK girl asked me for a print of the Mushroom City. Well, one thing lead to another and I found in TeeMill a new home for the prints and in Merchr a new home for the merch.

And the good news is that this stores are here to stay, given the very flexible structure of TeeMill and Merchr e-commerce, I don’t have to worry about having to shut them down because of lack of funds.

What The Future Holds

One of my goals now is to try to grow the stores rather slowly and more thoughtfully than how I did it in the past. Thinking back, sure I did added a lot of prints and merch in a rather short span of time, and I think that might have confused potential clients. Just too much to navigate through. That’s why I wanna grow the store little by little and try to add the best possible art to the print options. That also requires planning on my part and to realize what are the best options to add as prints.

Another of my goals is to post at least 1 weekly blog post, after all, getting to know my clients is important to bring this store to life, to know what they want and what fantasy art can bring to their lives. Communication here is key, and I hope I can bring you all the passion for Fantasy and Science Fiction art I feel and care so much about.

New Product

Due to the success of the Mushroom City series, I am adding a new print on A5, A4 and A3 sizes. This one is a rendition to the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz series. I think there is a very important element in the story about perseverance overcome obstacles and achieve goals and the Emerald City signifies the feeling of Hope, of making your dreams come true after you worked so hard to achieve them.

So I hope you like this new print just as much as I like it.

What I Am Working On

So the past few weeks I’ve been working on designing a set of Tarot cards based on the Egyptian ( a.k.a. Kier ) Tarot deck. This particular Tarot deck is different from the usual Marseillaise Tarot deck in the sense that the 56 minor arcana are not split in 4 sets of 13 cards but their comprise an extension of the major arcana itself, so instead of an Ace of Gold, you have “The Beginning”, and instead of a King of Spades you have “The Duality” and so on. It really interesting project since each card sort of challenges the limits of what Midjourney can do with each concept. And trying to bring each card to life in the most accurate way becomes a challenge onto itself.

So far I’ve completed the Major Arcana and some of the Minor Arcana cards, and once it is done, getting them printed will represent the biggest challenge of all. Anyway I hope you like some of them that I’ve completed so far.
